Signs of Spring

Yesterday I had my first confirmed Eastern Bluebird (Sialia sialis) sighting of the spring.  I know that some Bluebirds remain in Mid-Michigan throughout the winter, but the majority migrate to the south for winter.  Fortunately we cleaned out the nest boxes at Winn Elementary and Saginaw Chippewa Academy so they are ready for the Bluebirds, Tree Swallows, and other birds.
