You ain't been blue; no, no, no.
You ain't been blue,
Till you've had that mood indigo.
You ain't been blue,
Till you've had that mood indigo.
- "Mood Indigo"
Lyrics by Irving Mills
Yesterday while looking for wildflowers I saw two male Indigo Buntings (Passerina cyanea) foraging in the leaves at Mission Creek Woodland Park in Mt. Pleasant. I chased the birds through the woods for several minutes and managed to get several photographs - the one above was my favorite.
Here is the same photograph zoomed in.
